Katie Lancaster


Consultant plastic surgeon


Katie Lancaster is a consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital. She graduated from St Mary's Hospital Medical School (University of London) in 1997. After completing her general surgical training in London and the south east she was appointed to the Pan Thames Regional Specialist Training Programme in plastic surgery. During this time she gained a comprehensive training in general plastic surgery and undertook fellowships in both aesthetic surgery at The London Clinic and microsurgery at St. Thomas’ Hospital. She became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS Plast) in 2009.

Miss Lancaster specialises in colorectal, complex abdominal wall, gynaecological and breast reconstruction and is an extended member of the colorectal cancer teams at both St Thomas' Hospital and University College Hospitals. She works closely with her dermatology colleagues at the St John's Institute of Dermatology and provides surgical management of hidradenitis suppurativa.

Miss Lancaster has a particular interest in training and education. She is a tutor on a number of local and national courses and is a clinical and educational supervisor for trainees at St Thomas' Hospital.
