Biography

Luigi Camporota completed his medical degree in Italy. He then trained in medicine and intensive care in the UK.

He is a consultant in critical care at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust where he leads the severe respiratory failure and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) service.

  • respiratory monitoring
  • extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO)

  • Elected Fellow of the European Respiratory Society
  • Chair of the acute respiratory failure section of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine
