Rui Albuquerque

Consultant in oral medicine; Honorary clinical senior lecturer
Biography
Rui Albuquerque is a consultant in oral medicine at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals, and an honorary clinical senior lecturer at King's College London.
He completed his undergraduate dental degree in Portugal (2006), his masters degree in oral medicine (2007) and PhD (2012) in the University of Barcelona. He then moved to the UK, where he completed his specialist training in oral medicine in Birmingham.
After completing specialist training, he was appointed consultant in oral medicine at Guy’s Hospital in 2018.
He is involved in undergraduate and postgraduate training and is an examiner for the MFDS examination for the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
