Biography

Yasmin Abu Ghanem is a Locum consultant urological surgeon at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.

She is a graduate of Tel-Aviv University School of Medicine. She has received bachelor of science (BSc) and master of science (MSc) degrees from the department of physiology of Ben-Gurion University.

Yasmin was trained as a urological surgeon at the Chaim Sheba Medical Centre in Israel, and has worked as a clinical fellow at the Specialist Centre for Kidney Cancer, The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust

She has a sub-special interest in uro-oncology with a particular focus in kidney, testis and urothelial cancers.

Yasmin has a strong academic interest and is committed to surgical and oncological research. She has also been a member of The EAU Guidelines working panels, both on urological trauma and on renal cell carcinoma, and has been actively involved in the publication of the current EAU Guidelines on these issues. Through her active membership she is won several excellence awards and was invited to lecture, present, chair and participate in urological meetings.
