Referrals
GP referrals
All NHS GP referrals must be submitted using the NHS e-Referral Service (e-RS). Referrals sent by email or post from NHS GPs will not be processed.
If you need advice, please use advice and guidance on e-RS.
Non-GP and tertiary referrals
Please send your referral via EPIC.
To help us book your patient into the most appropriate clinic, please provide as much information as possible.
We may contact the patient before offering an appointment to make sure they're seen at the most suitable clinic.
Referral criteria
- Patients with dizziness or balance problems that may be caused from their inner ear balance system.
Exclusion criteria
- Severe headache, or a headache with worrying symptoms.
- Severe nausea, vomiting or instability.
- Sudden onset symptoms.
- Cranial nerve involvement.
- Motor or sensory weakness of the limbs or face.
- Prominent ear problems, such as recurring ear infections.
- Sudden hearing loss, starting within the last 72 hours.
