This page explains how we collect, use, keep and share information about children and young people who use our services.
It includes:
- the types of information we collect
- why we collect it
- who can see it
- how long we keep it for, and
- your rights

We collect personal information such as your name, address and date of birth, along with health information you would usually provide during a health appointment, including those you might share with your GP.
We use your information to make sure you get the best care and the treatment right for your needs.
Sometimes we may share your information with other health professionals, like your GP, so they can support your care too.
We may also use your data to:
- check how well we are doing
- plan better care for everyone
- train doctors and nurses
- help with research to improve care
We follow strict rules to protect your privacy. Only people directly involved in your care will see your information.
You can choose not to share information, but this can make it harder for us to give you the best care. If you are concerned, please talk to your doctor or nurse.

We keep your health records for a long time so we can look after you if you need to come into hospital again.
You can:
- ask to see and get a copy of your information
- ask us to correct information that is wrong
- ask us to delete your personal information
- ask us to stop using your information
- ask for your information so you can use it with other healthcare providers
- say no to us using your information
