An event to celebrate Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) History Month will be held from 11am-2pm on Thursday 26 February in Central Hall at St Thomas’ Hospital.

The LGBT staff forum have put together a fun, celebratory event with music from The London Gay Big Band (sponsored by Unison), a gay history quiz and a rainbow cake. Stalls will include LGBT staff and patient forums, unions and other staff support networks and lots of information about LGBT activities on offer at the Trust. The event will also launch ‘straight allies’, for heterosexual staff who want to support their LGBT colleagues at work.

To coincide with the history month, Jayne King, co-chair of the LGBT staff forum, has been telling her story about working in an organisation that gives her "the strength, security and support to be who I want to be and the best that I can." Read Jayne's blog.
