Guy’s and St Thomas’ is pleased to have been formally accredited by NHS Improvement as one of four trusts considering how becoming a hospital group might benefit patients.

We are currently part of a ‘Vanguard’ with Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust, which is already enabling our clinical teams to explore how closer working between our organisations can improve the care we provide.

Amanda Pritchard, Chief Executive of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust said:

“We are using this opportunity to explore new ways of working and whether the collaboration with Dartford and Gravesham might be extended to other providers in the future.

"We see this as complementary to our ongoing commitment to work closely with our partners here in South East London, as well as from further afield."

The other Trusts named as leaders by NHS Improvement are Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust and Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust. Additional information about NHS Improvement’s announcement is available
