Redeveloping the Guy's and St Thomas' website

We are redeveloping the Guy's and St Thomas' website for the first time in nearly 10 years.

Our aim is to deliver a new 'patient-first' website – using data and research to provide information which patients want, which is easy to find and easy to understand.

Patients, the public and local stakeholders will have lots of opportunities to contribute to the project through surveys, digital focus groups and online testing.

Where we are – the alpha phase

We are currently in the 'alpha' phase of the website redevelopment, where the structure, navigation, content and design are agreed using feedback from our patients and the public, and supported by data and research.

The alpha phase will run until October 2021, when we will start to build the website.  The build phase will last around 4 to 5 months.

Launch date for our new website

We hope to launch our new site in early 2022.

Thank you to everyone who has taken part

From the start we have been committed to involving users of our site at every stage of the project. We would like to thank everyone who has taken part in the activities so far, including in our surveys, online exercises, interviews, and focus groups

Once we start to build the new site there will be more opportunities for you to have your say.

New website design

Following feedback from patients, the public and staff, we've chosen a design concept for the Trust's new website.

Here are some comments on the new design

"Option B as the darker blue ribbon looks more 'authoritative' or even regal"

"Option B is the stronger and more modern, fresher option"

"I prefer option B. The design looks better in mobile than option A."

"I prefer option B as it feels warmer and more friendly"

We are now working with our web development agency to roll out the approach across further pages on our new website.
