Photo book of Evelina staff

The parent of an Evelina patient has put together a book of photos of the staff who looked after his baby in 2010.

The book, called Phineas’ Friends, was created by photographer Michael Cockerham and shows many of the staff who were directly involved in his son Phineas’ care during his six days in hospital. “One of the things that struck us during the course of his treatment was the sheer number of clinical professionals involved,” said Michael.

“[The book] forces us to dispense with the standard narrative that only a handful of people are engaged in our treatment.”

63 staff were photographed for the book and range from technicians and scientists, to ambulance drivers, nurses and doctors.
