London Bridge Hospital Private Care at Guy's

London Bridge Hospital, Private Care at Guy’s will open to patients in the Cancer Centre at Guy’s Hospital on Monday (24 April).

This expansion of the existing London Bridge Hospital will be run by HCA Healthcare UK, part of the world’s largest private hospital group, on the top four floors of the Cancer Centre at Guy’s.

It will include:

  • 40 inpatient beds
  • 9 day case beds
  • 4 intensive care beds
  • 4 operating theatres, including the UK’s first integrated robotics theatre and a da Vinci robot
  • 18 chemotherapy bays
  • 5 consulting rooms
  • X-ray, fluoroscopy and ultrasound
  • Surgery and treatment in urology, breast and gynaecology
  • Haematology oncology treatment and care

Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is leasing the space in the Cancer Centre at Guy’s to HCA Healthcare UK – the rental income that this generates will be reinvested back into NHS services.

The opening of London Bridge Hospital, Private Care at Guy’s will mean that the new Cancer Centre is fully operational.

It includes not only clinical services for NHS patients run by Guy’s and St Thomas’ – bringing most cancer treatment under one roof – but also the Innovation Hub, King’s College London’s research floor.
