Professor Gideon Lack named in TIME’S 2026 TIME100 Health list

Wednesday 11 February 2026

Congratulations to Professor Gideon Lack who has been named in TIME'S 2026 TIME100 Health List, which spotlights the world's 100 most influential figures in health this year.

Gideon has been a paediatric allergy consultant at Evelina London Children's Hospital, part of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, and Professor of paediatric allergy at King's College London for nearly 20 years, having previously been at St Mary's Hospital and a Professor at Imperial College London.

Gideon said: "I am delighted to have been recognised in the 2026 TIME100 Health List. This could not have been achieved without my colleagues and researchers at Evelina London and King's College London, and without the thousands of families who participated in our clinical trials. This has enabled us for the first time to prevent food allergies through early consumption of food allergens, and a significant decline in food allergy is already becoming apparent."

Ms Gubby Ayida, Chief Executive of Evelina London said: "On behalf of everyone at Evelina London I'd like to congratulate Gideon for being named in the 2026 TIME100 Health List for the impact he has had on global health.

"We are proud of the leading role Evelina London Children's Hospital and King's College London play in the study and management of childhood allergy. Over many years, Gideon and his colleagues have conducted a series of ground-breaking research studies and clinical trials that have led to paradigm changes in the management of peanut allergy worldwide.

"Without doubt their work has had, and continues to have, an enormous impact on families treated at Evelina London, across the UK and around the world. Thank you Gideon for your ongoing focus and commitment to finding new ways of preventing and managing childhood allergy."
