A new edition of the GiST, the award-winning magazine from Guy’s and St Thomas', is out now.

The magazine’s cover star is thoracic surgeon Stephanie Fraser, who is showcasing an example of how innovation is improving cancer care at the Trust. Stephanie and colleagues are leading a pilot at Guy’s Hospital that combines artificial intelligence with robotic technology, speeding up diagnosis for patients with suspected lung cancer.

In other articles, we find out how the Trust’s partnership with CareTrade is supporting young autistic people into meaningful, long-term employment. We also learn about new heart valve clinics that have been set up in the community to speed up care and help close the healthcare gap, and we celebrate 60 years since the UK’s first intensive care unit opened at St Thomas’ Hospital.
