Life after a kidney transplant

Peter Hill was diagnosed with kidney disease at 33. Over the next 30 years, his kidneys gradually got worse and eventually failed. Peter started haemodialysis and went on the transplant list.

Nick Bundy was diagnosed with Alports syndrome in 1976 when he was 21 years old. The genetic condition caused his kidneys to fail. His father donated a kidney that lasted Nick for the next 35 years.
