Deborah Ruddy
Consultant clinical geneticist
Biography
Deborah was appointed to the consultant team in 2007, and was appointed head of Service in 2017. She specialises in seeing patients with adult onset inherited disease, particularly inherited cancer syndromes, and inherited diseases of the neurological system.
With colleagues, she runs multidisciplinary clinics for patients with Huntington’s Disease, von Hippel Lindau disease, and inherited psychiatric disorders.
Research - she is the local primary investigator for a phase 2 drug trial for patients with symptomatic Huntington’s Disease (2015-2016).
