Terry Wong

Consultant gastroenterologist and hepatologist
Biography
Dr Terry Wong has been a consultant gastroenterologist and hepatologist at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital since 2003.
Prior to this he was a consultant hepatologist, and lead pancreaticobiliary endoscopist at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.
He trained in medicine at the University of Cambridge and St Batholomew's Hospital, London. His postgraduate training was at St Batholomew’s Hospital, Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, and King's College Hospital where he conducted research into liver transplantation leading to his MD thesis in 2000.
Terry has served on several national committees including the liver committee, the endoscopy committee, and the oesophageal committee of the British Society of Gastroenterology. He is an examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and is an expert advisor to the National Institute of Clinical Excellence.
