Overview

Community stroke and neuro-rehabilitation

We support people who have had a stroke or are living with other neurological conditions (diseases of the nervous system). We see people living in Lambeth and Southwark.

We aim to:

  • support your recovery
  • help you use tools and strategies to manage any related difficulties
  • help you to live well with your neurological condition

Our specialist teams will see you in your home. We'll find out what:

  • everyday activities you can do
  • what you want to be able to do

We'll make a plan with you to reach your goals.

We'll review your needs 6 months after your stroke.

Our teams include:

  • a rehabilitation consultant
  • occupational therapists
  • speech and language therapists
  • physiotherapists
  • neuropsychologists
  • nurses
  • social workers
  • support staff

Research and clinical trials

Research is vital to improving the care that you receive when you're unwell. You can help improve healthcare by taking part in research studies at our Trust. During your appointment, ask your healthcare professional about research. They'll be happy to tell you about research studies you could be eligible to join.
