Dr Dan Smith was appointed as consultant at Guy’s and St Thomas’ 2011. He is the clinical lead for lung cancer and the clinical governance lead for the oncology, haematology and cellular pathology directorate.
Dan is a specialist in clinical oncology, delivering radiotherapy and chemotherapy to treat lung and breast cancer, and gives post-operative radiotherapy for benign orthopaedic conditions such as heterotopic ossification.
He is honorary consultant at University Hospital Lewisham where he is one of two consultants providing the acute oncology service. He sits on the steering group of the London Cancer Alliance (LCA) metastatic spinal cord compression group.
