Biography

Andrew Davies is a consultant upper gastrointestinal (GI) surgeon at St Thomas' and an honorary senior lecturer at King’s College London (KCL).

Education and training

An Edinburgh graduate, including a 1st class honours BSc, Andrew trained in a number of London’s teaching hospitals including King’s College London (KCL), St Thomas' and the Royal Marsden hospitals.

  • Masters degree with distinction
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) on the staging and management of oesophageal cancer at King's College London 

Research interests

Andrew leads the oesophago-gastric research programme at St Thomas' in close collaboration with the division of cancer studies at KCL. The unit contributes to numerous prestigious international data collaborations.
