  • Biography

    Michalis Koutroumanidis is a neurologist and neurophysiologist specialising in epileptology. He has led the department of clinical neurophysiology and epilepsy since 2002, and is responsible for the adult epilepsy and the first seizure services, and the electroencephalography (EEG) section.

    He is a recognised expert in clinical epileptology and EEG, member of the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) committee of clinical neurophysiology, chair of the ILAE task force for the revision of EEG epilepsy classification criteria, and co-director of the advanced ILAE teaching course in epilepsy.

    Alongside clinical work he pursues clinical research with several EU and national projects.
