Annemiek De Ruiter

Annemiek de Ruiter specialised in GUM and HIV and became a senior registrar at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust  in 1992.

In 1994 she was appointed consultant at the Trust, which has one of the largest HIV centres in the UK.

She runs general HIV clinics, the women’s HIV clinic and the HIV antenatal clinic and leads on HIV pregnancy research. She has led the 2008, 2012 and 2014 British HIV Association guidelines on the management of HIV positive pregnant women which have NHS accreditation.
