  • Biography

    Peter Earnshaw MBBS FRCS FRCSC is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon and the clinical director of surgery at Guy's and St Thomas'.

    He has experience of a wide range of trauma and orthopaedic surgery over the years but recently has become more focused on knee surgery, including the treatment of sports injuries but particularly joint replacement. He has a large referral practice across the UK concentrating on complex, partial and revision replacement knee surgery. He has published many papers and book chapters on a range of orthopaedic topics and is now training a number of senior fellows in complex knee surgery.

    He trained in medicine at Guy's Hospital and then continued his postgraduate studies in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in Canada and the US where he worked for many years before returning to the UK.

    He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association, the British Association of Knee Surgery and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of both England and Canada and is board certified in the United States.
