  • Biography

    Jonathan was appointed to Guy's in 1999 and is now the senior consultant in the stone unit. 

    He receives referrals for complex stone surgery from numerous centres throughout England. He also operates on kidney stones in children, working with the children's urology team. A join children's stone clinic is held once a month, and a children's stone list twice a month.

    He has taught kidney stone surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England Basic and Advanced surgery courses, and at the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS) annual meetings. He is secretary of the section of endo-urology of BAUS.

    Jonathan's general urology includes green light laser treatment for benign prostate disease.

    As well as being the urological editor for the 39th edition of Gray's Anatomy, Jonathan has responsibilities in the training programme of our urological trainees.
