Coronavirus: dermatology update
In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, please read our advice and information.
We accept referrals directly from your GP or any other hospital specialist only.
All GP referrals must be submitted using the NHS e-Referral service (formerly Choose and Book). You need to do this within 24 hours of your consultation with your patient.
Referrals sent by email or post from GPs will not be processed.
All non-GP referrals can be emailed to gst-tr.DSLUDermatologyReferrals@nhs.net or posted to the address above.
Referrals from other hospitals must include a completed Inter-Provider Minimum Data Set or ensure that one is sent within 48 hours of referring a patient.
Urgent/two week wait referrals
Two week wait referrals are seen in the skin cancer screening clinic at Guy's Hospital dermatology department only.
All suspected skin cancer referred by your doctor should go to the specialist skin cancer screening clinic.
We accept referrals for consultation regarding:
- laser treatments – C02, Pulsed Dye, Nd Yag
- Mohs surgery for biopsy proven skin cancer on the face, head and neck or DFSP’s
- photodynamic therapy for superficial skin cancer
- excision of biopsy proven skin cancer on the body.
We no longer accept Keloid scars.
