How to get an appointment

If you are already patient at our hospital, you can ask your consultant to refer you to our service.

If you are not a patient with us, you can ask your GP to refer you to our community orthotics service.

Changing or cancelling your appointment

If your appointment is at St Thomas' Hospital, please call 020 7188 6477.

If your appointment is at Guy's Hospital, please call 020 7188 6483.

Before your appointment

If you already use an orthosis, please bring it to your appointment.

During your appointment

Appointments last about 30 minutes, but can be longer.

You will meet one of our orthotists. They will assess and prescribe the most appropriate orthoses based on your needs.

We'll show you how to use and take care of your new device.

We'll arrange your follow-up appointments if you need them.

We may ask you if a student orthotist can be present during your appointment.
