Overview

Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a common virus that can cause serious illness in babies and older adults. The vaccine can help protect against RSV. 

You can get the vaccine free on the NHS if you:

• you’re at least 28 weeks pregnant
• you live in a care home for older adults
• you’re aged 75 or over
• you’re aged 65 to 74 and have a weakened immune system due to a medical condition or treatment.
• you’re aged 65 to 74 and have a long-term lung condition, such as poorly controlled asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
