Making a referral

We accept referrals from GPs and other health professionals.

In line with NHS England’s digital first approach, we strongly encourage all referrals to be submitted by email. Electronic referrals help reduce delays, minimise the risk of lost or incomplete documentation, improve traceability and support safer patient care.

Paper referrals by post will still be accepted where necessary. However, referrers will be advised to submit future referrals digitally.

Urgent referrals

Please email urgent referrals to us with 'URGENT REFERRAL' in the subject box.

Emergency referrals

If you need immediate emergency advice, please call 020 7188 7188 and ask for the on-call ACHD consultant.
