Making a referral

We accept referrals from:

• GPs
• hospital doctors
• health professionals
• community teams

For external referrals, please email the relevant service.

Self-referrals

We also accept self-referrals.

• Speech and language: STH speech and language therapy
• Dietician and nutrition: GH nutrition and diet - oncology

Urgent referrals

Please contact us by phone or email, stating the reason for the urgent referral. Please mark your email ‘urgent’ in the subject heading.

Referral criteria

We accept referrals for people with symptoms or rehabilitation needs that are likely to occur or have occurred due to cancer or the cancer treatment. We accept referrals for patients who:

• are having or had cancer treatment at Guy's and St Thomas' or
• live in Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham, Greenwich, Bromley and Bexley and are registered with a GP in these areas and need expert cancer rehabilitation

We may accept referrals from outside these areas following discussion with the referring GP when expert cancer rehabilitation opinion is needed.
