Supporting urgent public health coronavirus (COVID-19) research

As one of the most research active Trusts in England, Guy's and St Thomas' is at the heart of the national effort to develop diagnostics and treatments for coronavirus (COVID-19). All coronavirus (COVID-19) related research has to be nationally approved by the Chief Medical Officer.

In light of the view that research will play a key part in halting the pandemic through identification of treatments and a vaccine for coronavirus (COVID-19), the Trust are strongly encouraging all clinicians to consider recruitment of their coronavirus (COVID-19) patients into these national studies, therefore patients being treated within our COVID wards and Intensive Care Unit, and their families may be approached regarding participation in studies.

The national studies which the Trust is participating in are listed on our coronavirus (COVID-19) studies page.
