Our quality story

Our financial rating

NHS Improvement (NHSI), the independent organisation which regulates health services in England, regularly reviews the financial performance of all NHS foundation trusts including Guy’s and St Thomas’.

NHSI uses a 'single oversight framework' to look at five areas of performance: quality of care, finance and use of resources, operational performance, strategic change and leadership and improvement capability.

How are we doing?

The financial performance of trusts are measured on a scale of 1 to 4 where 1 reflects the strongest performance. At the end of 2019/20, our overall score for finance was '1'.
