Guy’s and St Thomas’ is to run a major event to promote nursing careers to potential recruits.

The open day is being held on Friday 24 April from 10am to 3pm in the Central Hall of St Thomas’ Hospital. There is no charge to attend.

Marie McDonald, Director of Nursing for Adult Services, says: “Nursing offers a vast array of exciting and rewarding career opportunities.

“At Guy’s and St Thomas’ our nursing staff provide high quality care to a uniquely diverse community of patients. The options for personal and professional development are also varied and excellent. With our pioneering history and international reputation, this is a fantastic place to pursue a career in nursing.”

Information about careers in nursing will be provided at the open day, including details on the support available for nursing graduates and for registered nurses and midwives wishing to return to practice after taking career breaks.

Representatives from the Trust’s education team, staff benefits and employee services will be on hand to answer questions and offer advice.
