Evelina London website
The Evelina London website, launched earlier this year, has been shortlisted for the prestigious Association of Healthcare Communications and Marketing (AHCM) Awards – fighting off a number of entries to make it to the top five in the ‘Best website’ category.
The website went live in February 2015 and aims to help make children, young people and their families feel comfortable and confident about their visit to hospital or care they receive in the community. Every stage of the development process involved patients, their parents and our staff – resulting in a website that is bright, colourful and full of positive images and videos of patients from all backgrounds. Its success has been instant.
Anita Knowles, Director of Communications at Guy’s and St Thomas’, says: "We are proud to have been shortlisted for this national award and also delighted that the new Evelina London website is proving extremely popular with patients and their families. We have seen an impressive 75% increase in visitors in just six months and received lots of positive feedback.

The awards ceremony takes place in Birmingham on Thursday 12 November 2015.
