Staff have given the Trust high scores in the latest Staff Friends and Family Test results.

The results for Guy’s and St Thomas’ were overwhelmingly positive, and higher than the national average:

  • 94% of staff are ‘likely’ or ‘very likely’ to recommend the Trust as a place to be treated - much higher than the national average of 80%
  • 78% are ‘likely’ or ‘very likely’ to recommend the Trust as a place to work - much higher than the national average of 64%
  • 92% feel able to speak up if they have a concern about patient safety or their working environment.

The national results were published today (Thursday 25 August) by NHS England.

The Trust has continuously scored above the national average in the quarterly Test.

Ann Macintyre, Director of Workforce, says: “I am pleased that our staff continue to have positive views about working here and that 94% of staff recommend the care that we provide to patients.

“We ask staff to complete the Staff Friends and Family Test and the national NHS Staff Survey so that we can understand how people feel about working here. This helps us to make meaningful improvements to working lives.”
