Congratulations to our latest CARE award winners

Our CARE awards (Courtesy, Attitude, Respect and Enthusiasm) are given each month to staff who have ‘gone the extra mile’ to provide exceptional care for patients and demonstrate our Trust values in their working lives.

The latest winners are:

Rosemary Walsh is a staff nurse on Blundell Ward. Rosemary is described by her colleagues as always smiling and positive. She has a real natural skill for building rapport with her patients.

Most recently a patient wrote in to thank Rosemary for looking after him stating: “You really stood out as someone who had a special impact on me. What strikes me as most amazing is that you didn't know me but you treated me like I was the most precious member of your family. I will never forget the warmth and love you showed me. The job you do is more valuable than any other I know and I really appreciate everything you did for me. Thank you.”

The Stores department have been awarded for supporting autistic students in the workplace through the Trust’s work experience programme – The Autism Project. They help the students engage in employment and develop their skills through supported training. The programme helps to develop the students' knowledge and confidence.

You can nominate a team or individual by the CARE awards online form, which also contains more information about the awards.
