Olympic gold medallist Etienne Stott visits Evelina Children's Hospital

Olympic gold medal canoeist Etienne Stott visited Evelina Children’s Hospital this afternoon to share his London 2012 stories and spend time with patients and staff.

Arriving with gold medal in hand, Etienne spent time talking to many enthusiastic patients on the arctic and forest floors of the hospital. The children asked Etienne questions and had their photos taken with him and his medal.

After a tour of the building, Etienne met with Joe Quick, a patient at Evelina and transplant games champion. Joe, who is 17, brought his bronze badminton Transplant Games medal, which he compared and (temporarily!) traded with the Olympic medallist.

The afternoon ended with a visit to the marquee and a tour of the current London 2012 displays.
