six menbers of our staff who will be dancing in the Games opening ceremony

Thirty seven staff have been rehearsing hard to make tonight’s Opening Ceremony a success.

Many are dancing in the NHS section of the ceremony, to celebrate our health service. Nicki Bickford, business support manager, said: “I’m really enjoying the rehearsals, and loving every minute of it. It’s going to be a spectacular ceremony with the whole world watching.”

Carolyn Norgate, transformation project manager, is involved in the ‘industrial revolution’ section of the ceremony. She is drumming and marshalling, although she has no previous drumming experience. “I went through a rigorous interview!” she said. “The best part of the experience so far was seeing Danny Boyle’s vision for the whole ceremony at the first rehearsal.”

Mo Ali who works in cardiac outpatients will be in the part of the show that is representing 1990s music. “I haven’t had much dance experience, but saw it as a great opportunity to be part of the show,” he said. “My friends are very jealous that I am part of the show and I am really really excited!”

Good luck to everyone taking part.
