Spyros Bakalis

Biography
Spyros Bakalis studied medicine at King's College London. After completing has postgraduate training he completed a two-year research project at the Harris Birthright Research Centre for Fetal Medicine and subsequently moved University College Hospital London, where he obtained accreditation as a subspecialist in maternal and fetal medicine.
He was appointed to Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital with a major role in fetal medicine where he carries out a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic services, with a special interest in fetuses with growth complications, brain and placental abnormalities. In addition, he is the lead obstetrician for maternal cardiac disease and cancer in pregnancy.
