If you are feeling unwell on the day of your appointment, please contact us using the details provided on your appointment letter before coming to Guy’s Cancer at Queen Mary's Hospital.
Arriving by train
Trains run regularly to Sidcup Station from London Charing Cross, London Bridge, Waterloo East, Cannon Street and New Cross, as well as Dartford, Gravesend, Slade Green and Crayford. The hospital is a 25 minute walk from Sidcup Station or you can take a bus or taxi – buses 160, 229 and 286 run between the hospital site and the train station.

There is a car park adjacent to the building, which is free for patients on a first come, first served basis. The car park is accessed through a barrier requiring a PIN code. You will find the code on your appointment letter, or you can contact us on 020 7188 0770.
We offer hospital transport for patients with medical needs and with no other way of travelling to Guy’s Cancer at QMH. If you think you need hospital transport, please call Guy’s and St Thomas’ transport service on 020 7188 2888. Staff will ask you to complete a short telephone assessment to determine whether you are eligible for hospital transport. If so, you will need to book transport for each hospital appointment by calling the number above.
Reclaiming travel costs
If you are entitled to claim back your fare for attending your appointment, please ask the receptionist for a travel claim form when you arrive at your appointment.
The form will need to be signed by the staff member you are seeing, and you will need to send the form by post to the address shown on the form. Alternatively, you can take the form, together with proof of the benefits you are receiving, to the cashier’s office at Guy’s Hospital within three months.
