Cardiac support group

Cardiovascular rehabilitation

Many people who have a heart problem need help after their recovery. The cardiac support group offers information and support after you have completed the rehabilitation programme.

Former patients run the group who had, or have, similar problems to you.

Joining our support group will allow you to feel less alone when dealing with these issues.

We are dedicated to health education, and offer:

  • support
  • companionship
  • social events
  • a varied programme of expert speakers throughout the year

The support group is affiliated with the British Heart Foundation

Our meetings

Meetings take place in the cardiac outpatients department at Guy's Hospital.

They are on the second Wednesday of each month at 7pm, except for July when there is a picnic on a Sunday at 12.30pm.

You're welcome to bring your partner, friend or family member to meetings.

A member of the cardiovascular rehabilitation team is available 30 minutes before the start of each meeting. They will answer any questions about your heart health.

As we are a self-supporting group, there is a small entrance donation agreed by members. This is £1.50 for each meeting or you can donate more if you wish.
