Non-invasive testing information for patients

Coronavirus: non-invasive cardiology testing service update

We no longer offer a walk-in ECG service and booked ECG appointments are only available at St Thomas' Hospital.

Patients

Patients will need to have a booked appointment. Once your GP has requested an appointment, please call the cardiology department on 020 7188 0973 to book your appointment at St Thomas' Hospital. During the phone call, you will be pre-screened for symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) and your risk will be assessed for attending a hospital appointment. Appointments will normally be available within one to two working days.

GPs

The GP open access ECG service is now by appointment only, please do not send patients directly to cardiology. This will allow the cardiology department to monitor patient numbers and to support government guidance on social distancing. Please note we are not accepting any ECG appointments at Guy's Hospital.

Please request an ECG, by completing a new form which has been sent to all GP services.

There are booked lists for tests, every day, at both Guy's and St Thomas'. Specialist stress and transoesophageal echocardiograms and cardiorespiratory exercise tests are conducted at St Thomas' Hospital.
