Mike Marber graduated with Honours in medicine from the Middlesex Hospital Medical School in 1984.
He was trained in clinical and research cardiology at the Brompton, St George’s and University College Hospitals and the University of California at San Diego.
He was appointed as a senior lecturer/consultant cardiologist at University College London in 1994 and to his current position as honourary consultant cardiologist at what was the United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals in 1996. He was promoted to professor of cardiology at King's College London in 1999.
