Shazia Afridi was appointed as consultant neurologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ in 2013.
Shazia trained at Guy's and St Thomas' Medical School and attained an intercalated Neuroscience BSc. Following her medical training in London she completed her PhD at the Institute of Neurology, Queen Square looking at functional imaging in migraine. She then went on to complete her higher training in London.
Shazia established the headache clinic in the neurology department. She sees patients with headache disorders, general neurology and works within the nationally commissioned Neurofibromatosis unit where she sees patients with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1), neurofibromatosis type 2 (NF2) and schwannomatosis.
