How to get an appointment

We accept referrals from:

• your GP
• your dental practitioner
• other hospitals and specialist centres

Please tell us as soon as possible so we can offer your appointment to someone else.

Before your appointment

During your appointment

You'll can see a consultant dermatologist or a registrar (senior doctor).

Your appointment can take up to 1 hour.

As we're a teaching hospital, students supervised by qualified staff might be involved in your care. It is valuable training for students and does not affect the quality of your treatment. Please tell us if you do not want them to be present or involved. We'll always respect your wishes.

After your appointment

After your appointment we'll send a letter to you and your local health team summarising your visit.

Please let our receptionist know if you don't want to receive a copy of this letter.
