How you can access the service
Our service is open to all of our patients, their relatives or carers and our staff. If you are a patient on a ward, please ask your nurse to contact us.
How to contact us
Telephone: 020 7188 5588
Email: chaplains@gstt.nhs.uk.
For information, please see:
If you need to access the service urgently, please call the hospital switchboard on 020 7188 7188 and ask to speak to the duty chaplain. There is always a team leader on call for specific advice.
If you're frightened or worried about your hospital stay, we are here to listen. We support people of all faiths, as well as people who do not have a particular religious belief, but would like someone to talk to. We are here for everyone. For more information email chaplains@gstt.nhs.uk.
What we provide
We have a chapel and multi-faith prayer rooms at both hospitals for quiet prayer and reflection. They may be used by our patients, their relatives or carers and our staff. If you wish to use a prayer room for a religious or pastoral reason, such as Shabbat, please contact us.
If you are staying on one of our wards, a chaplain can bring holy communion to you, or pray with you, annoint you, or listen to your concerns. Please contact the team, or ask your nurse to arrange a visit.
You might find it helpful to register your faith or belief when you arrive at hospital. This can be done at the same time you give your contact details.
