Welfare and benefits advice, Dimbleby Cancer Care

How to get an appointment

We can offer an appointment if you have cancer and your main treatment is at our hospital.

We can see you up to 1 year from the end of your treatment.

Please ask your nurse specialist or one of our information nurses to refer you.

If you're referred by your nurse specialist, we'll call you to talk about your needs and book an appointment.

Before your appointment

Please bring with you:

  • your national insurance number
  • information about your income and outgoings
  • a copy of your application form if we are helping you to claim benefits

During your appointment

We offer appointments face-to-face or by telephone.

For telephone appointments, we'll call you at the agreed time.

Appointments usually last 30 to 45 minutes. A double appointment can be booked for support with completing application forms.

After your appointment

We send any information you need by email or post, and we'll give you details about how and when to contact us for further advice.
