Women’s dermatology

How to get an appointment

You can ask your GP or other health professional to refer you.

Changing or cancelling your appointment

Phone: 020 7188 6392

Before your appointment

Please bring a list of medicines you take.

During your appointment

A consultant will take your medical history and examine you.

We may take a swab or biopsy from you.

We often need to take photographs of your skin so we can monitor any changes over time.

We're a teaching hospital and we often have postgraduate students, other trainee specialists or consultants in the clinic to learn. We'll ask you if you're happy for them to be at your appointment. It won't affect your care if you prefer not to have them there.

After your appointment

We'll give you prescriptions if you need any medicines. You can take them to your GP and collect the medicines from a local pharmacy. Some special medicines are only available from the hospital pharmacy.

We'll give you details of any follow-up appointments if you need them.

We'll send a letter to you and the person who referred you.

If you have any problems you should contact your GP first, then contact us.
