How to submit a referral
Non-e-RS referrals
In line with NHS England's Digital First approach, we encourage all external non-e-RS referrals to be submitted digitally.
Digital referrals help reduce delays, improve traceability, minimise the risk of lost or incomplete information, and support safer patient care.
Please submit referrals by email to [email protected].
We will continue to accept paper referrals where necessary. However, referrers will be advised to use digital referral methods in future.
Making a referral
Our dental service referrals page has information about how to make a referral.
We accept referrals from Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham. We are a national tertiary referral service for complex cases.
Emergency referrals
If your patient is in need of emergency dental treatment, please advise them to call NHS 111, where they will be triaged for emergency dental treatment by a specialist team.
2-week wait (2WW) referrals
To refer patients with suspected cancer to our head and neck cancer service, please contact the 2-week wait (2WW) office:
