INPUT pain management

Your appointment

Following an assessment, we will recommend the most appropriate treatment for you. We currently run assessments face-to-face, or by video. They can take up to 2 hours.

How to get an appointment

Your GP or hospital consultant can refer you.

Changing or cancelling your appointment

Phone: 020 7188 3255

Please tell us as soon as possible, so that we can give your appointment to another patient.

Before your appointment

Make a list of any medicines or herbal remedies you take. Please bring this with you to your appointment.

If you need glasses for reading, please bring them.

During your appointment

You will meet with a physiotherapist and a psychologist, or occupational therapist. They will assess whether one of our pain management courses is a suitable option for you. We may refer you to another service instead.

Your first appointment can last 2 hours.

As this is a teaching hospital, students may be present at your appointment. Please let us know if you do not want them to be present or involved in your care. It will not affect your care in any way.

After your appointment

We'll send a letter to your GP and the doctor who referred you. You will receive a copy.

The letter will include details of what happens next.
