The Cancer Centre at Guy’s is well-served by public transport. See the travel information below.
The Cancer Centre at Guy's is open from 8am-8pm, Monday to Friday.
The nearest stations are:
TfL provides guides, maps and information on step-free access, toilet locations and travel support cards. You can also apply for a ‘Please offer me a seat’ badge.
London Bridge is the nearest railway station and is five minutes’ walk. The new concourse to London Bridge station has opened to passengers with a new entrance on St Thomas Street.

Please note that there are no buses stopping along St Thomas Street.
School service prioritisation
TfL are prioritising some bus services for school travel. The amended services operate weekdays between 7.30am to 9am (some routes will last until 9.30am) and 2.30pm to 4.30pm. Please allow extra time for your journey.

From London Bridge station walk down Great Maze Pond past the main entrance to Guy's Hospital and the Cancer Centre is on your left.
The Trust provides cycle parking facilities in nearly all its locations. These facilities are not for long-term storage. If a bicycle is considered to have been abandoned, it will be removed as stated in the Trust’s bicycle storage policy.
Bicycle racks are located:
- on the right hand side of the car parking area outside main reception of Guy's Hospital (10 spaces)
- outside Counting House on Great Maze Pond.

There is a cycle hire docking station in Snowsfields not far from the Cancer Centre. To see where the docking station is use the interactive map and search for London Bridge and choose Snowsfields, London Bridge. It will tell you the number of bicycles available and the number of free spaces to park your bike.
Cars and parking
The Cancer Centre is located in the Congestion Charging zone and the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ). Parking is very limited at the Cancer Centre. Please use public transport whenever possible.
It is possible to be dropped off outside the Cancer Centre. From Monday-Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm, parking in the Guy's car park is only available for disabled patients. Vehicles can only access the car park from Crosby Row and not from St Thomas Street. For more information, see parking at Guy's and St Thomas'.
You may be eligible for hospital transport if you are disabled or have mobility problems. If you think you need hospital transport, please call the hospital transport service on 020 7188 2888. Staff will ask you to complete a short telephone assessment to determine whether you can have hospital transport. If so, you will need to book transport for each hospital appointment by calling the number above.
Reclaiming travel costs
If you are entitled to claim back your fare for attending your appointment, please ask for a travel claim form when you arrive at your appointment. The form will need to be signed by the staff member you are seeing, and you will need to take it to the cashier’s office along with proof of the benefits you are receiving. The cashier’s office can be found across from the post room on the ground floor of Tower Wing, inside the main hospital building. It is open:
- Monday to Thursday: 9.30am-2pm, 2.30pm-4.30pm
- Friday: 9.30am-2pm, 2.30pm-4.15pm.
