  • Adult Acute Dental Centre

    The acute dental care (ADC) department at Guy's Hospital remains open for adult emergency conditions such as dental infection, bleeding and trauma.

    To access this service please call NHS 111. You will be assessed by a dental nurse and offered an appointment if needed, depending on availability.

    We can only see a limited number of patients per day. Those who turn up without an appointment from NHS 111 will be turned away.

    If you are already a patient with us and have an orthodontic emergency, please see the orthodontic update page for information on what to do.

    The children's dental emergency clinic is located at the Dental Centre at St Thomas' Hospital. To access this service please call NHS 111.

    An NHS nurse will assess your child over the phone, and if appropriate, will book them to be seen.

    We have a limited number of appointments each day. The NHS 111 service may book you into an urgent dental care centre closer to you.

     *This clinic is only available for patients who have had their appliance fitted at Guy's Dental Hospital.
